Introducing Our Board
WEBIntroducing Our Board. The Board of Education is the governing body for the San Juan Unified School District. Terms are staggered so that three or four seats are up for election every two even-numbered years. In November 2022, San Juan Unified moved to by-trustee area elections and increased the size of the board to seven board members.

Comprehensive Sexual Health
WEBDuring the 2017-2018 school year, an adoption committee was convened to pilot and adopt new materials for comprehensive sexual health instruction in grades 5, middle school, and in high school health. After an extensive pilot and vetting process, new materials, aligned to the California Healthy Youth Act, were adopted by the school board.
